Visual acuity is given as the negative logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution (logMAR) and was obtained with Teller acuity cards (6 months-3 years), Cardiff Crowding cards (up to 3 year of age), Lea cards (2–6 years), and number charts (6 years and older). Single patients are presented with follow-up data. Nonquantifiable data were transferred into digital data according to Schulze-Bonsel and Bach (hand movement: logMAR 2.5, counting fingers: logMAR 2 [42]).
