The assay was performed on intact cells and a significant siramesine dependant increase was observed at all times examined.  The rate of substrate cleavage was measured after incubating the cells with 30 µM siramesine for 1–4 h. The figure shows the average of n=3. Mean±SEM is shown. p<0.001 (***). Three independent experiments were performed with similar results.
