mRNA expression levels were measured by quantitative RT–PCR in an experiment in which HLE-B3 cells were subjected to serum deprivation. Independent triplicate populations of cells were collected. Analysis of quantitative RT–PCR data was based upon calculating ΔC_T values using a β-actin control and a baseline standard of mRNA expression at 20% FBS MEM. Values represent an n=6 and are expressed relative to the respective baselines (20% FBS MEM) which are assigned a value of 1.0. Values represent the mean±standard error.
