Figure 5. Measurement of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) pathway proteins by western blotting in alkaline-burned corneas. A: Total lysates from murine corneal tissue lysates were analyzed by western blotting for their level of NF-κB activation by detecting phosphorylated NF-κB (P-NF-κB), total NF-κB protein, and IκBα. As shown by the analysis results (B), msFlk-1/mEndo and msFlk-1/msTie2/mEndo significantly downregulated NF-κB phosphorylation expression. Three independent experiments were conducted, and data were shown as mean±SD. The asterisk indicates p<0.05, and the double asterisk indicates p<0.01, compared with the vehicle vector group.
