After the mentioned settling time, cells were incubated for 24 h with the test material or solution. Viability was measured by MTT assay at the end of the incubation period and expressed relative to control (cells grown in the absence of lens and solution). The asterisk indicates significantly different from lotrafilcon A (lens stored in a phosphate buffered solution), p<0.003.
