Retinal histology showed swollen cell bodies in the inner nuclear layer in recoverin-immunized B6.MRL-Fal^lpr/J (LPR) mice, greater than the mild changes observed in the controls. Photoreceptor and outer nuclear layer waves were observed in the retina of balb/cJ mice injected with recoverin hybridoma cells. Migrating cells between the inner nuclear layer (INL) and ganglion cell layer (GCL) were also observed in these two mouse models. No change was observed in recoverin-immunized C57BL/6J mice.
