the penetration of anti-CD45 antibody in the mouse cornea. Leukocytes
in the corneal stroma were labeled by rat anti-mouse CD45 antibody
(red) 24 h after intrastromal LPS injection, and the signals were
stronger on the upper side near the cutting edge than that on the down
side. Inflammation caused by LPS improved the penetration of the
anti-CD45 antibody that labeled leukocytes in the corneal stroma, but
CD45 labeling was limited in the corneal epithelium and anterior
stroma. The images of Z-stack clearly showed that leukocytes located in
the epithelium and anterior stroma were labeled by CD45 antibody as
shown in the XZ and YZ planes of the cut view of Z-stack CLSM images.
