The fundus appearance of individual RP21-IV-1 is characteristic of advanced RP, with optic disc pallor, attenuation of the retinal vessels, peripheral pigment epithelial atrophy, and bone spicule pigmentation. The posterior pole shows macular edema, and small white dots are present in the mid-periphery at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium
