Activation of p42/44 MAPK and Ras by 50 ng/ml of FGF-2 in cultured mouse scleral fibroblast cells was detected by immunoblot analysis. Cultured mouse SF cells were serum starved for 24 h in DMEM and then incubated with 50 ng/ml of FGF-2 for 0.5, 1, 2, and 6 h as well as overnight. Time-dependent change of p42/44 MAPK in the presence of 50 ng/ml of FGF-2 was detected.
