HRCP. After 12 h, 200 mg/l highly oxidized-glycated low density
lipoprotein (HOG-LDL) caused a 2–3 fold increase in apoptosis (measured
by Annexin V FITC and propidium iodide) compared to serum-free medium
(SFM) and native-low density lipoprotein (N-LDL). A combination of
N-LDL and HOG-LDL did not inhibit HOG-LDL-induced apoptosis. Bars
represent mean±SD of three separate experiments. The asterisk indicates
