In situ hybridizations were used to assay expression of the E2F1, E2F5 and p130 transgenes using SV40 (for E2F1), human E2F5 and mouse p130 riboprobes. Bright-field (A, C, E) and dark-field (B, D, F) images are shown. The transgenes were expressed specifically in lens fiber cells.
