Keratan sulfate fragments (named as in Figure 5) from attached and sphere cultures were compared with and without treatment with TGFβ (as in Figure 5). Relative abundance of fragments in treated cultures is given as a percentage of the same fragment in control (untreated) cultures. The asterisks indicate a significant reduction in keratan sulfate fragments in response to TGFβ treatment in triplicate samples using Student's t-test. The single asterisk indicates a p<0.05 and the double asterisks indicate a p< 0.01.
