Expression levels as determined by western blot analysis. Densitometric value (after normalization) of 0.5 or greater is symbolized by “++” (very high expression). A value less than 0.5 is denoted as “+” (moderate expression), and value of 0 is represented as “-” (little or no expression). Antibodies were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology: 14–3-3 σ (sc-7381, antibody directed against an epitope in the NH₂-terminus and sc-7683 directed against an epitope in the COOH-terminus were both used individually); 14–3-3 β (sc-629, antibody directed against epitope in the NH₂-terminus); 14–3-3 γ (sc-731 antibody directed against epitope in the COOH-terminus); 14–3-3 θ (sc-732 antibody directed against epitope in the COOH-terminus), 14–3-3 ζ (sc-1019 antibody directed against epitope in the internal sequences), 14–3-3 η (sc-17286 antibody directed against epitope in the internal sequences), and 14–3-3 ε (sc-1021 antibody directed against epitope in the internal sequences).
