Normalized spot volume of each crystallin subunit is an average of three or four gels of each group. A spot is calculated by dividing its volume by the total volume and multiply by 100. Reg1: lenses from a two-week-old regenerated lens; Reg2: lenses from a four-week-old regenerated lens, Reg3: lenses from a 16-week-old regenerated lens; Control: natural lenses from a 16-week-old rabbit. The asterisk indicates that the protein spot was not identified as crystalline.
