The table shows the modified classification scheme of XLRS to assess the different phenotypes [20]. The scheme of classification was devised that incorporated both clinical and OCT findings. There are 6 cystic subtypes and the atrophic type. Type 3 was the most common phenotype of the disease. The prevalence of phenotypes is based on 40 eyes from 20 patients having XLRS. The 2.5 value of prevalence is equal to 1 eye. SD represents standard deviations.
