The data are the mean±SD. CAT (catalase) is expressed as µmol/g lens protein. GSH (glutathione) is expressed as mg/g lens protein. GR (glutathione reductase) is expressed as µmol/g lens protein. The water-soluble protein is expressed as g/l. An asterisk indicates that p<0.05 (group I compared with group VII). A double asterisk indicates that p<0.001 (group I compared with group VII).
