Figure 9. Immunohistochemical detection of glycated crystallins in aging human lens from 40-80 years using affinity purified antibodies raised against human total lens proteins. The control includes the replacement of primary antibodies by PBS. Human cadaver lens (40–80 years) were cut into 3.0 µm thick sections. Affinity purified antibodies were used at a dilution of 1:1,000. All photographs were taken using 40X objective.
