tears. The oligogreen dye assay provides a measurement of the amount of
DNA in freshly collected tears. The fluorescence enhancement of the dye
bound to DNA is measured, λex=480 nm and λem=520 nm. The results for
tear samples (■, diluted 2.125X) are plotted on a standard curve of
oligonucleotides (●) of known concentration. The numbers in parentheses
are the concentrations of the oligonucleotides in tears corrected for
dilution.
