There were very few LEC in lens capsules treated with 20 μM rofecoxib for 2 weeks. The LEC present were highly vacuolated and did not adhere to the adjacent basement membrane as seen in phase contrast microscopy (A, Bar, 20 μm) and histology (B, Bar 50 μm).
