In the table, * indicates a risk factor, ** notes a novel single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), and # highlights two polymorphisms, -83G>A and Arg76Lys, that were detected in high frequencies in 116 patients and thus were not screened in the remainder of the 251 patients.
