CCR7 expression in the cornea was first tested by RT-PCR. Lymph nodes served as a positive control. CCR7 mRNA expression was only detected in the inflamed cornea and not the normal one (A), and further identified in the stroma-endothelial layer (B: str indicates the stromal layer and endo designates the endothelia layer). CCR7 expression was displayed in red and the nuclear stain DAPI in blue on the cross-sections of the inflamed cornea (C).
