A:The absolute level of αB-crystallin mRNA in RPE was much higher than that of αA-crystallin. B: mRNA expression after H2O2 treatment was examined by quantitative real time RT-PCR. Expression of αA-crystallin increased with treatment of H2O2; C: while αB-crystallin expression was biphasic with an increase with low H2O2 dose followed by a decrease at 150 μM. D: Protein levels were confirmed by Western blot analysis, and αB-Crystallin protein expression followed a pattern similar to its mRNA expression.
