Figure 1. Haplotype analysis of the ectopia lentis family with chromosome 15 markers (D15S1024 and D15S126).

Pedigree of family affected with isolated ectopia lentis. Squares and circles symbolize males and females, respectively, and filled symbols denote affected individuals. Dinucleotide repeat microsatellite markers were used for genotyping. Sequence of analyzed markers (D15S1024 and D15S126) is from centromere to telomere. Allele sizes for marker D15S1024 obtained in different individuals (272 bp, 274 bp, 280 bp, and 282 bp) are shown with code numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Similarly, allele sizes for marker D15S126 observed in different individuals (218 bp to 252 bp) are indicated with code numbers 1-9. Haplotypes segregating with the disease are indicated in shaded boxes. '0' in haplotype for individual 28 and 29 indicate that the genotyping data for these two individuals could not be determined for marker D15S1024 (due to failure in amplification reaction). Numbers such as 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, etc. indicate those individuals where blood samples were not available and numbers such as 1, 2, 3, etc. show the individuals where blood samples were available.
