The brightfield image (A) and the corresponding fluorescent image (B) show the presence of Sox-2 in the trabecular meshwork, transition zone, and corneal endothelium of a wounded cornea from a 38-year-old male. Sox-2 is not present in the unwounded cornea of a 29-year-old male (C, D). All images are cross sections. Control slides showed no reaction (not shown).
