Aggrecan, decorin, biglycan, and lumican mRNA levels (mean±SEM) in treated, control, and normal-eye scera after four days of monocular -5 D lens wear and after two days of recovery. All mRNA levels are expressed as copies per million copies of 18s. The asterisk indicates that the treated eyes were different from fellow control eyes, (paired-test, p<0.05); the double asterisk indicates that the eyes were different from normal eyes, (ANOVA, LSD, p<0.05).
