Chaperone-like activity was assessed in the presence of 3:1, 2:1, and 1:1 molar ratios of insulin:αA-crystallin mutants. Light scattering (OD) at 360 nm is shown over time in 30 s intervals. The three proteins exhibited similar protective activity at all three molar ratios.
