Figure 6. Adhesion of the CEC to various extracellular matrix proteins

The ability of wild type and TSP1^-/- CEC to adhere to various extracellular matrix proteins were determined as described in Methods. TSP1^-/- CEC showed less adhesion on fibronectin (A) and better adhesion on vitronectin (B) compared to wild type cells. Neither cell strains adhered to laminin or collagen (not shown). These experiments were performed at least twice with two different isolations of CEC.
