SOD3 synthesis in bullous keratopathy (BKP), keratoconus (KC), and normal (N) cultured stromal cells after 24-96 h of culture with 50 U/ml IL-1α, expressed as a percent of untreated control wells (Means±SEM). The SOD3 synthesis in keratoconus cells is significantly lower than that of bullous keratopathy cells from 48 h (p=0.047) and significantly lower than both of the other groups from 72 h (p<0.01).
