Percent changes in lens dimensions and volumes after incubation Lens dimensions were measured from shadow photographs of lenses, before and after incubation for 5 h in culture media or balanced salt solutions. Changes were expressed as percentages of the dimension prior to the incubation. Lenses were divided into two groups: those with and those without separation of the capsule and lens cell mass following incubation. Monkey lenses did not exhibit capsular separation.
