SDS-polyacrylamide gel (12%) stained with Coomassie Blue. Gtα*R238E or Gtα* (2 μg) were treated with trypsin (10 μg/ml) for 10 min at 25 °C in the presence of 50 μM GDP alone, or 50 μM GDP, 10 mM NaF and 50 μM AlCl3, or 50 μM GTPγS. The GTPγS-bound Gtα* and Gtα*R238E were obtained as described under Methods.
