Comparison of MS/MS spectra of the major constituent found in asteroid bodies and standard 1,2-dipalmitoylglycero-3-phosphoethanolamine (DPPE). Identical, corresponding peaks were obtained from the MS/MS analysis of the DPPE standard (A) and the chloroform extract (B), both having a mass to charge ratio (m/z) of 690.5.
