Coincident indirect immunohistochemical labeling for PCNA (Cy2 label, left panel) and TRα (Cy3 label, middle panel) indicates a partial overlap of labeled cells at the CGZ (right panel), an epithelium at the retinal margin that consists of undifferentiated cells and from which new cells are produced and appositionally added to the retina.
