Figure 2. Elution profiles of the deletion mutants
FPLC gel filtration was used to characterize aggregate size of the two NH2-terminal deletion mutants using molecular weight standards (not shown) for calibration. Elution times for each mutant are consistent with a tetramer, although very small amounts of other aggregate sizes are also present. Leader mutant 51 (LM51) elutes before deletion mutant 51 (DM51) because of the leader sequence's additional molecular mass.
