A: Schematic showing the human B7 gene and primers for PCR amplification of B7 cDNA. The reverse primers were designed to span sequences between two exons. B: The expression of B7 mRNA transcripts in human ocular and nonocular tissues was examined by RT-PCR. The PCR products corresponding to B7 isoforms were amplified together with a QuantumRNA 18S internal standard in the same (multiplex) PCR reaction and resolved by electrophoresis. PCRs shown are representative of at least two repetitions of each PCR. The lane labeled "M" is a Hi-Lo DNA molecular weight marker.
