Rats with experimental autoimmune anterior uveitis (EAAU; A) were found to have fractalkine staining in the nerve fiber layer, the outer plexiform layer, and the nuclear layers (arrows). The staining patterns of fractalkine in normal rats (B) were identical to those in rats with EAAU. Negative control (C) with goat IgG as primary antibody showed only background staining. The original magnification was 200x.
