Figure 9. Sequence alignment and β-strand distribution of βB2- and γB-crystallin
This alignment shows the similarity between βB2- and γB-crystallin in the distribution of β-strands. The blue sequences indicate β-strand and the red sequences indicate α-helix. The sequence numbering is based on the sequence of the wild type βB2-crystallin. The distribution of β-strands is taken from Bax et al. [5] for βB2-crystallin and Kumaraswamy et al. [8] for γB-crystallin.
