The loss of protein-protein interaction for the Q155* mutant is demonstrated by the two-hybrid system assay. Protein-protein interactions between βB2-crystallin mutants were expressed by the fold increase of SEAP activity over the controls (plasmids without DNA inserts). Statistical significance was calculated by the paired t-test. The asterisk indicates a p<0.05 for comparison of the Q155* mutant to the WT.
