Gene expression in cultured RPE cells incubated with 2 mg/ml of nanoparticles loaded with GFP plasmid. Cultured bovine RPE (A) and human RPE (B) cells incubated with 2 mg/ml of nanoparticles loaded with GFP plasmid. Cytoplasmic green fluorescence (GFP expression) is detected in some cells on day 4 of culture. Bovine RPE (C) on day 4 incubated with 29.44 μg/ml of naked GFP plasmid.
