Table 2. Incorporation of BrdU by cultured lenses

Lenses maintained in culture for 0, 2, 4, or 7 days were labeled in vitro with 10 μM BrdU for 1 h. They were then rinsed, fixed, and embedded in paraffin. The paraffin sections were immunostained with anti BrdU. Labeled cells were counted in the epithelium of two sections from each lens and averaged. Data are shown for three lenses from each time.
