Figure 6. Cone α-T does not translocate

Translocation of Cone α-T does not occur in either light or dark environments. Top row shows double labeling with anti-arrestin (red) and anti-cone α-T (green) antibodies of sections from dark adapted (left) and light-adapted (right) albino mice demonstrating that cone α-T is highly compartmentalized in the COS and does not translocate in light or dark environments. The rod arrestin is seen to be translocated under the same conditions. The same sections viewed with a filter to detect cone α-T alone (green, middle row) and arrestin alone (red, bottom row) are also shown. The scale bar represents 50 μm.
