Real-time RT-PCR demonstrates that retina significantly upregulates PEDF expression at P15 after a perforating injury to the eye. Double asterisks ("**") indicate p<0.05. By P17, this differential is lost and there is no alteration in retinal PEDF mRNA between punctured and non-punctured eyes.
