When peak list files were submitted using Mascot to an MS/MS Ion Search of MSDB, a number of proteins were identified in each retinal preparation. In addition the sequence of 44 peptides was determined by AutoMod de novo sequencing; several of these were matched by BLAST searching to proteins in SWISSPROT (name and accession number given in parentheses).
