The 789 bp cDNA (Genbank accession number AY485151) contained no untranslated 5' or 3' sequences and was missing its stop codon, since it was included in the downstream PCR primer. Nucleotides at positions 161, 221, and 383 were different in the 2 sequenced clones (A/C=M, C/T=Y, G/A=R). This resulted in three questionable residues at position 54 (T or K), 74 (A or V) and 128 (G or D).
