Safflower oil (SO, n-6 fatty acid-rich, triangle) and flaxseed oil (FO, n-3 fatty acid-rich, square) diets were fed to wild type (WT), P23H, and S334ter rats from the fifteenth day of gestation. Morphometic measures were taken at 55 days of age. The outer nuclear layer (ONL) thickness is plotted as a function of distance from the optic nerve head. The graph shows the mean values; the standard deviation is represented by the error bars (n=4 to 7).
