Long form hNMT I human muscle and hNMT I human liver (GenBank accession numbers AAH08579 and AF043324), short form hNMTS represents human HepG2 cells [6], bNMTS I sp/ret is the short form of bovine spleen [9] and bovine retina (GenBank accession number AF223384), and mouse mNMT I liver (GenBank accession number AF043326) amino acid alignment. Red lettering indicates amino acid difference, blue indicates similarity, and green indicates conserved amino acid changes. Multiple sequence alignment was by clustalw and Boxshade at Genestream, Institute de Génétique Humaine.
