Appendix 1. Raw Affymetrix hybridization data

The raw data from each Affymetrix hybridization experiment is included as a supplement. The file contains data corresponding to the Affymetrix probes including Affymetrix probe number, raw averaged signal observed when scanned, detection call (absent, present, or marginal based on 150 signal units determining present calls), and detection p value.

To access this data, click or select the words "Raw Affymetrix data". This will initiate the download of a compressed (zip) archive. This file should be uncompressed with an appropriate program (the particular program will depend on your operating system). Once extracted, you will have a folder (or directory) containing a raw data file. The file is tab delimited text. Most spreadsheet programs will import files in this format.
