RT-PCR was performed using gene specific primers for ANP (lane 3), BNP (lane 5) and CNP (lane 7) in retinal tissue (n=10). Specimens of atrium (lane 2), ventricle (lane 4), and renal medulla (lane 6) were used as positive controls for ANP, BNP, and CNP, respectively. Single bands of the predicted molecular size for ANP (228 bp), BNP (73 bp), and CNP (61 bp) transcripts were detected. Lane M is a DNA molecular marker. Lane Bl is a Non-template control.
