Figure 2. Cold cataract formation in young and old bovine lens

The images represent a cold cataract in a young (18 weeks; left) and an old (10 year; right) lens. The cold cataract in the young lens is more opaque and denser when compared to the cold cataract in the old lens. However, this figure demonstrates that cold cataract still develops in older lenses.
