The amino acid sequence of the cytoplasmic domain of human PECAM-1 isoform lacking exon 14 is compared to the amino acid sequence for human full-length PECAM-1 (A). The amino acid sequence of the cytoplasmic domain of murine PECAM-1 isoforms lacking exon 12, 14, 15, 12&15, 14&15, or 12, 14&15 is compared to the amino acid sequence for murine full-length PECAM-1 (B). The deleted sequences are indicated by hyphens (-). The putative exon sequences of human and murine PECAM-1 were indicated according to the cDNA sequence data (above). The underlined sequences indicate changes in the reading-frame of the amino acid sequence.
