Figure 1. The RT-PCR analysis of RNA prepared from human and mouse retina

Total RNA was isolated from human and mouse retina as described in Methods. Approximately 0.5 μg of total RNA was used for RT-PCR using specific primers. The RT-PCR products were separated on a 2.4% agarose gel, stained with ethidium bromide, and photographed. M designates the molecular marker and the bands correspond to 1350, 1078, 872, 603, 310, 280, 234, 194, and 72 bp, respectively. These experiments were repeated at least twice with different preparations of RNAs with identical results.
